Did Jeffrey Epstein Really Send Donald Trump a Truck Full of Baby Food?
Newly released emails are stirring up conversation about the relationship between the late Jeffrey Epstein and former President Donald Trump. In one particularly eyebrow-raising exchange, Epstein claimed he sent Trump a "truck of baby food" after losing a $10,000 bet. Keep reading for the full story!
According to the emails, Epstein told Deepak Chopra, a well-known figure in the new age movement, that the baby food was intended for Trump's ex-wife, Marla Maples, during her pregnancy. These details emerged as part of a batch of emails released by Democrats on the House Oversight Committee. Epstein, who died in 2019, was 66 years old at the time of his death.
The Email Exchange: Baby Food and... Shoes?
The conversation unfolded during an exchange about scheduling a video call. Chopra casually asked Epstein, "Btw—Do you know Marla Maples?"
Epstein responded just minutes later, stating: "Yes, In fact when she told donald she was pregnant. I lost a 10k dollar bet with him, and sent him a truck of baby food in in payment. but i have not spoken to her in many years since then."
The emails, released on a recent Wednesday, contain multiple references to Trump, though the former president is not accused of any wrongdoing.
The email exchange takes a further unusual turn. Epstein also mentioned to Chopra, "she can tell you the story of her friend who was caught having sex with her shoes. yes -shoes."
This message was sent months before Trump's election to his first term in the White House in 2016.
Trump, Maples, and a 90s Love Triangle
Donald Trump and Marla Maples were married from 1993 to 1999. They share one child, Tiffany Trump. Before Maples, Trump was married to Ivana Trump, their divorce finalized in 1990.
In her book, *Raising Trump*, Ivana recounted the moment she knew her marriage was over: "this young blonde woman approached me out of the blue and said, ‘I’m Marla and I love your husband. Do you?’”
Trump and Maples tied the knot at New York City’s Plaza Hotel shortly after Tiffany's birth. CNN reported earlier this year that Epstein was present at the wedding.
In 2016, Maples shared a photo of herself with Chopra on Instagram, writing, "Appreciating all @DeepakChopra does to share #consciousness in our world & in the many seasons of our friendship✨"
The White House Responds
The White House issued a statement to the Daily Beast, claiming that "these emails prove literally nothing."
"Democrats and the mainstream media are desperately trying to use this hoax as a distraction to talk about anything other than Democrats getting utterly defeated by President Trump in the shutdown fight," spokesperson Abigail Jackson stated. "We won’t be distracted, and the entire Administration will continue fulfilling the promises the President was elected on, including cutting the Biden-era price hikes."
The Daily Beast has reached out to representatives for Chopra and Maples for comment.
Chopra, in a statement to The Independent, said, “I’m always cognizant of Dr. and patient privilege. However, in this case, I hope that all of the truth comes out after ongoing and proper investigations. I’m happy to share whatever I know with authorized officials. Otherwise there are only endless speculations without knowing the context.”
More from the Email Dump
Other emails reveal Epstein calling Trump "evil beyond belief" and "mad" after seeing a Daily Beast article titled, "How Close Is Donald Trump to a Psychiatric Breakdown?"
Another email showed Epstein boasting about being at Trump Tower shortly after Trump's 2016 election victory.
In a particularly disturbing message to Ghislaine Maxwell, Epstein claimed that Trump "spent hours" at his house with one of the child sex traffickers' victims.
