Crypto Investor Expresses Disappointment After $TRUMP Dinner with Donald Trump

A crypto influencer who heavily invested in $TRUMP meme coins hoping for an exclusive dinner experience with former President Donald Trump is now expressing disappointment. Nick Pinto, a 25-year-old influencer, spent a significant amount of money to attend the dinner at Trump National Golf Club in Virginia on May 22nd, only to feel let down by the event.

According to Pinto's interview with the Australian news program Four Corners, attending the dinner cost him a whopping $370,000 in $TRUMP coins. The episode, titled “Chasing Trump’s Billions,” detailed Pinto's less-than-stellar experience. He even shared a TikTok video from the event, noting that Trump left shortly after giving a speech, without even having dinner.

The idea behind the dinner was to offer access to Trump to the top 220 purchasers of the $TRUMP meme coin, which was launched earlier this year. Reuters reported that supporters spent at least $148 million to secure their spots at the event.

Pinto told Four Corners that he now believes, “the entire dinner was about making money.”

Pinto, who is a marketing director at his brother’s law firm, was hoping to network and even create content with Trump for his social media platforms, where he boasts a significant following. He was ranked 72nd on the $TRUMP coin leaderboard after his substantial investment. The top 25 investors even got a tour of the White House and a private reception with Trump.

“I was hoping to maybe do a trend or some short video with him, maybe 15 seconds,” Pinto told Four Corners, expressing his disappointment that it didn't happen.

Feeling "Scammed" and Future Plans

After the dinner, Pinto posted another TikTok video showing off a "$TRUMP" hat he received. He also showed off a poster and lanyard he got at the event.

When asked if he felt ripped off, Pinto said to Four Corners, “I would say in a way, I do feel like I maybe kind of got scammed because it was definitely false advertising. They did advertise it as having dinner with Trump. And Trump did not eat anything at all, at least just drink a Diet Coke with us or something like that [then] we definitely would not have felt like we were scammed by him.”

Despite his disappointment, Pinto is holding onto his $TRUMP coins, hoping for a price surge triggered by future events. At one point, his investment was reportedly worth $480,000.

The value of the $TRUMP coin is constantly fluctuating, so it's important to stay informed if you're considering investing in meme coins. Always do your own research before investing. Currently, the $TRUMP coin is trading at $6.26.

Pinto, a former Trump voter, now says he would not vote for Trump again but may consider voting for his children.
