The rumor mill is buzzing! Sources close to former Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, 53, are suggesting he might be going through a “bit of a midlife crisis” following his separation and newfound romance with pop superstar Katy Perry, 40.
According to insiders who spoke with Page Six, this unexpected pairing might be Trudeau's way of embracing a new chapter after years in the public eye. "Dating Katy may just be Justin’s answer to going to Burning Man," the source quipped. "It’s a bit of a midlife crisis." Is this a case of finding love or simply exploring life outside of politics?

Speculation about the relationship heated up after the Daily Mail published photos of Trudeau and Perry looking cozy on a yacht. The images quickly went viral, seemingly confirming the romance. Sources suggest that after stepping down from office and finalizing his divorce, Trudeau is “sowing his oats all over again.” It seems he's enjoying newfound freedom.

Trudeau and his former wife, Sophie Grégoire-Trudeau, 50, announced their separation in August 2023. According to sources, the timing of the split was strategic. He reportedly wanted to wait until after he left office in 2024, but Grégoire-Trudeau "pressed for it."

"I don’t think anyone that knows him is surprised that Justin would date someone famous," they said. "It does echo his father. It’s in his DNA to do this."
